Should you become an Entrepreneur? Why Not? Over half a million online businesses are started each year by people who are underappreciated and underpaid! The home-based online business has now grown into a $427 Billion a Year Industry! Someone actually starts a new online business every 10 seconds in the US alone!
An Entrepreneur is a person who undertakes and operates a new enterprise or venture and assumes some accountability for the inherent risks. In the context of the creation of for-profit enterprises, entrepreneur is often synonymous with founder.
The term Entrepreneur also applies to someone who establishes a new entity to offer a new or existing product or service into a new or existing market, whether for a profit or not-for-profit outcome.
Business Entrepreneurs often have strong beliefs about a market opportunity and are willing to accept a high level of personal, professional or financial risk to pursue that opportunity. Business Entrepreneurs are often highly regarded as critical components of a capitalistic society.
The key to becoming an Entrepreneur is knowing how and where to start! Without the right starting point one would waste precious time and a lot of money. Legitimate work at home programs are not get rich quick or become a millionaire overnight schemes! The characteristics of a successful Entrepreneur include commitment, dedication, patience and perseverence.
Also, as an Entrepreneur one is able to get tremendous tax advantages and able to write off many of the expenses one would have anyway - as a business expense! If the right opportunity presented itself, most people would prefer To Be and Entrepreneur than Not To Be!
One should never put all of one's eggs in one basket!

Good article. I think some people underestimate the time and dedication it takes to become a successful entrepreneur. I know one way that will be successful with hard work and patience: buying a business. I'm in the process of buying one right now. I found mine through BizTrader.com. It's a great place to buy a business on the Internet. It has wide variety of businesses for sale. Great global marketplace for entrepreneurs.
Harold-- I suggest looking into your local Chamber of Commerce. They might be able to help you. Otherwise, it's always good to network.
I also highly recommend checking out BizTrader.com. It's an online global marketplace where you can buy, sell, and invest in a business. There's a wide selection of businesses, so I'm sure you'll find something that interests you. Good luck!
